QQ push preflop
$26 buy-in, 962 players, Early (857 left)
Blinds: $20/$40 9 players Converter Seat 1: MP3 (7,340) Seat 2: CO (2,730) Seat 3: BTN(2,760) Seat 4: SB(3,050) Seat 5: BB(2,965) Seat 6: UTG(3,425) Seat 7: HERO(3,205) Seat 8: MP1(3,150) Seat 9: MP2 (1,525) Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $120, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, MP3 raises to $320, CO folds, Button calls, 2 folds, Hero raises all-in $3205, MP1 folds, MP3 calls, Button folds. CO has been involved in most hands, though showing the goods til now. The pot is kind of familly pot, with five players, so when the action comes back to be, I figure that the $900+ in tournament chips are good enough to take right now without a flop. Flawed thinking? |

Re: QQ push preflop
I like it for the reasons you say. There's a bunch of people in and you need to isolate. What's the alternative? Raise to 1000? That doesn't make sense because it's 1/3 of your stack.
Push here, hope for one call. Even if you don't geta call, winning 1/3 of your stack is fine. |

Re: QQ push preflop
Push here, hope to not be called. You are 53% against a reasonable calling range of TT+,AQs+,AKo and as such picking up the pot would be a better result. I very much doubt you're getting called light enough that it would be a better result than picking up the t900.

Oops I wanted to say: "MP3 has been involved.." (where is the "Edit"?) I guess you understood.
Thanks so far. |

Re: QQ push preflop
i would re raise to 1000 and if he reraises you all in you are sure he has AA or KK and you can get out of the way you would have about 2000 with only 20/40 blinds plenty of chances to pick up chips
