Default $5.50 6 ppl Sit & Go at FTP..This guy bet all his chips into 195 pot!!

Blinds were 15/30 (level 1).

I was dealt JJ UTG and raised to 90 (x3 bb) preflop.

BB was the only one who called it.

Flop came 3c5s4c.

This guy immediately bet all his chips (about 1400) into 195 pot!! WTF!?

So I thought about the two possibilities:

1) Although I had him beat, it was not worth to call since the pot was so small (I had about 1400 chips too).

2) On the other hand, this guy might flop a set or straight (he might have either A2 or 67). He overbet not to be outdrawn by flush later.

So I let my JJ go..

I asked him later, and he said that he had pair of 5. I didn't believe him at all.

What did this guy possibly have?

Thank you for your comments!

fold. no point in risking your tourney life here so early in the tourney.

Call this guys a moron who can have any overpair and a bunch pair+draw hands. You're well ahead vs his range.

I would say he had a pair of 5's. A poor play on his part obviously but it happens all the time especially early. He probably put you on a couple of high cards and thought his hand was good. Also with a flop like that he is almost certain it didn’t help you and he is sending a message “stay away from my blinds.”

How did he play after? Did he push like this alot? If he played tight after this especially giving up his blinds I would feel better about the laydown, but if he is calling in the BB (even if he folds on the flop or later streets) you can be sure you layed down the best hand.

That was the only time when he pushed crazy. He played OK after that in my point of view (he value-bet all the time except that incident).

Most likely you folded the winner. Morons will make this play with A5 or any 66-TT, all of which you beat.

At this tourney limit, you have to assume everyone is an idiot until they prove otherwise.

Most of the time you'd see a pair + draw in this spot. Something like A5, 66, 22, Kc5c, something along those lines. What you will almost never see is a made straight.
I also think you folded a winning hand.

He could have A2 or 76 and doesn't want someone hit the flush.

He could have two pair and doesn't want someone to hit the straight or flush.

He could have a set and doesn't want want someone to hit the straight or flush.

He could have Ax of clubs, or for the average donk, any two clubs.

He could have an overpair, and puts you on AK.

He could have AK and puts you on AQ.

He could have A5 and puts you on AK.

Yeah a pair of 5's seems about right. He probably put you on 2 overcards and didn't want any more action. I 'm calling this at these levels. There are a bunch of dumbass players here.

Having said that if he turned oner A2 i wouldn't be surprised either.
