If you're not going to fold to a raise, (which can't be too bad given pot odds and that he might value show KQ or Kx[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and who knows, maybe he'll put you on a whiffed draw and try to 'rebluff'), then you should bet on the larger side to make sure you punish him when he looks you up.

Otherwise, you're just losing the max when behind, and a small bet when ahead.

As for checking, I just feel like he's trying to look us up here a lot, not to mention that the K could have easily paired him, and I think we'll bet more than he will. If he can value bet a J here, maybe.

As for where I've been, I took a break and rekindled my love for alcohol.

hm, i tend to disagree with nearly all this analysis. i dont think ANYBODY is ever vshoving a 1 pair hand here that we beat. our hand range here is very strong and expecting somebody to pull a minraise river bluff seems...crazy.

as for checking, yeaaa you can check but i would rather balance aggressive than passive play. also, i think he checks behind a lot, and when he does bet, i do not believe that there is any 1 clear option (call, fold).

the bottom line (i believe) is that we only lose to KJ and KT. people call a lot esp if you have an aggro image and this will help longeterm metagame considerations if you are able to valuebet wide here.

i really do think that any line OTHER THAN betting (from an underbet to slightly under psb) and folding to a raise is suboptimal.

nah not really. on this board, our perceived range is just way too strong.

If he bets its because he normally beats us or is really bad. Only exception is when he has something like KQ and he would definitely vb, but he would call that too. So given the only hand he will vb if he check he will also call with, and that he probably isnt bad enough to bluff a missed draw if we check I think bet/whatever beats check/call.

Now I dont think shoving is great since its an overbet by a good amount. Id probably go with bet 200/call a push. I hate having to bet 350/fold getting great odds. Betting small might encourage him to cry call, or bluff us off our blockbet. Makes him more likely to bluff raise than bet 350. Last paragraph might be stupid, but first one I feel pretty strongly about.

THe only part you disagreed with was the calling of a shove, which I put in there as an aside, since hero said he wasn't gonna fold.

380/fold seems by far the best line.
push seems pretty bad, as it folds out AJ,QJ, AT type hands that you might be able to squeeze a valure bet out of.
also, the king was a very bad card.
imo, we're only getting called on a push by something that beats us.

C/C...let him bluff a missed draw or call whatever crap he may have including KJ...

if you bet like 200 u MAY get called by QJ or AJ maaaaaaaaaybe...depends on the guy

he is not calling with very many hands that you beat there...
