I think that I was able to induce the value bluff on the turn by my clever comment. By acknowledging that he finished 7th last year, I am both being submissive and challenging at the same time by reminding him that he could not seal the deal last year. I was going to bet the flop and the turn, but I thought that waiting and then making that comment would put him over the edge and induce the push into me. I missed a wrap draw earlier to his top pair, so I thought that he had at least an ace preflop.
