i somewhat agree with mr. know-it-all.. even though i am mathematical, i don't think you need math in limit, other than looking at your bet (small) and the pot (big)... i think you come across situations over and over again that you could calibrate your game somewhat.

Smal differences make it in limit and it it very clear what the maximum is you can lose and what you can win. Therefore it is a lot easyer to find out (mathematically) if a situation is profitable or not. So maths is very important in limit. From the turn on it's not anymore most of the time, since the pot odds will force almost any hand that was properly selected preflop and on the flop to play.

Sometimes though, when the pot is still small, players check the flop and checkraise the turn (where the bets are bigger) to screw your odds on drawing profitably. There are many more examples I can come up with where a proper odds calculation is still very handy on the turn, but I agree, most often after the flop it is not needed if you have a good feeling for the odds and outs.
