I'm having fun reading how people rationalize stealing money.

well in these threads there are opinions I disagree with.
But I'll comment once again why "size matters". Despite the fact that it's immoral there's an entertaining value for general public plus it depends how much you value your virginity.

Ask a random girl if she give you a blow job for $20... better take a good private protector for that test
But give her 1.000.000 and you hardly find a girl that will say "no" (maybe Paris Hilton who will pay you.

$1.000.000 is a lot of money ... I would have hard time refusing such a request from an ugly gay...

I can't settle on how I feel about it. I'm trying to apply the categorical imperative and I don't know if it can help OP.

I'm against any form of scam. So if OP did anything to cause the mistake then morally he has to return the money. If he did nothing illicit then I don't know. I don't see how he has a duty to return it but at the same time I don't feel comfortable saying he can take it either. I think I'd just leave it in the e-wallet in perpetuity.

I did something similar on a different site. I'd be bored so I'd offer money (no where near $1M usually $500-1500) to people who were willing to do embarrassing things and you'd be surprised how cheaply people will sell their dignity.

It makes no difference at all how much money it is, $1 or $1 million. You return it, it's not yours. It's that simple. You people saying to keep it or how to do so without getting caught obviously weren't raised in a wholesome two-parent home.

Regardless, as I already stated, the site will eventually discover the mistake and will expect the money back. Even if you leave the site they will track you down through legal means if necessary. It's not a game. If you think $6k is worth being poked while in the pokey, then go for it.

I agree with you 100% here. It's not your money, give it back. I know, I know, easy for us to say b/c were not in your shoes. Just think about what you are doing here, and ask yourself if it is worth not sleeping well at night. Sooner or later, this is going to catch up to you. Bla bla bla Im going to shut up now, but I hope you make the right decision.

I wouldn't. A blow job (man 2 man) is the worst legal thing I know.
There are kids that do embarrassing things just for fun. I heard of a girl (college student) that runs through random places naked (and just for fun). So it depends but usual things (especially in a foreign area) you can get very cheap. Sometimes even for free.
Also if a random internet avatar says something it doesn't mean he would really do it.

The site was local so everyone was at most 1 or 2 degrees of separation from each other.

None of the embarrassing things involved anyone doing any sexual act on me. These people were all pretty fugly and dirty.

If the money means a lot to you then keep it.

This is a company who makes many millions per year - they can afford a 6k loss.

Just withdraw, close e wallet. Bingo.

They can, in theory, try and get it through a debt collection agency and they can, in theory, do really crappy stuff to your credit rating.

But in reality they probably wouldnt pursue it, and if they did most lawyers wouldnt hear the case under the UIGEA.

Remember, the first sentence in my post is there for a reason. If that money is a really important amount then fortune favours the finder.

BTW: why The Mother Teresa doesn't have the highest rating? Which devil voted for others and not for her
P.S. it wasn't me because I voted for her (and some others).
