Default North Dakota State Poker Site

Does this new legislation preclude the establishment of a state(s) owned poker site?
(presumable to benefit roads, schools, and the 2p2'ers of 2p2ville)

Default Re: North Dakota State Poker Site

we have discussed this some in the leagislation forum in a couple of threads.

A few people think the language indicates that state-licensed online-poker sites could be established if the state were to push for such a thing.

But the language does seem to say that it could not allow interstate traffic.

So if it was NorthDakotaPoker.com then you would only be able to play against other North Dakotans apparently which would probably make it a pretty small site (although perhaps not too small since they could probably legally advertise and even promote their REAL-MONEY and PERFECTLY LEGAL and SAFE status).

Since California already has B&M rooms having declared poker a game of 'skill' then I wonder if online-poker sites in California could be in our future.

I would much rather live in California than North Dakota amazingly enough.

I just moved from Atlanta to South Dakota. I feel you there.

It has made me wonder what the deal is there because it seems ND is ready to fight for their right here. If ND did get this going think about how many gnomed ND residents there would be. A Mailboxes etc. dream.

But what if multiple states legalized it and then networked together (the usa poker network or whatever). Seems like an easy loophole (?) since each individual would be playing on their own state's site.
