Default FW 20 KQo in the CO

Foxwoods 20/40 (8 players)

All players in question are loose and passive and relatively unknown, mainly because I'm not paying attention this late into the night.

EP limps, MP limps, Hero raises KQ [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in CO, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: J76 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero checks behind.

Turn: Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
MP bets, Hero raises, 2 folds, MP calls.

River: J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero intends to call a river donk and bet/fold if checked to.

Edited to fix Ben's hand, approved by him after a misguided attempt to be funny

Standard I would think. Can't imagine there is another way to play it as a general rule.

I don't see a river value bet here. (unless mp is really bad, with something like Q10)

If there's value in a turn raise, then there's value in a river bet. QT is actually a perfectly reasonable hand for MP to have, and with OP's description of him as "loose and passive", he could have many far worse hands that he'll pay off with.

The turn raise has value against many hands, draws included. Villain could be betting many hands here after flop was checked through. I don't see value in betting the river however against most, unless I had a very good read/reason. A river value bet needs to be favored IF CALLED, and I don't see many inferior hands calling here after being 2 bet on the turn.

once the flop is checked around, everybody is suspicious.

easy easy easy not even close value bet on the river if checked to.

no other way to play it.

I rarely heck behind flops and am trying to learn better spots to do it. I feel like it changes the whole dynamic of the hand. Was a check on all streets.
