Tuq,

daryn's 100% correct when he says that Assani is a clever troll. Yeah, he makes some good if not clearly insane posts, but he also does a ton of stuff to call attention to himself and ruin threads. While I can't really make a case for a permaban, I think a good slap on the wrist would be a fantastic start.

[/ QUOTE ]

he derails threads like this

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, 'cause that's totally the same.

finally, some action taken for awful bans. maybe now people will stop banning users who are just annoying or who rub the mod the wrong way.

I'm a bit late to the thread, but just to add my $0.02 from the Sports Betting Forum perspective:

Assani has caused a bit of controversy over the past two seasons in Sports Betting, but is overall a valued poster.

He's got an interesting challenge active ( 6 Teams not to make the playoffs) which has been well regarded, and after some struggles in bending to the rules early has delivered a valuable NFL picks thread ( Assani's NFL Wagering thread) in which he's currently 17-10-1 (an excellent record, a very outstanding contribution to the forum).

In short, I welcome his continued participation in Sports Betting and would vote to protect Assani at this time.

-P

While I dont think yeti should have banned him from Sports crap, cant yeti just claim it was an overdue ban for "trolling" in OOT? Seems like yeti just didnt cover his ass but the end results of assani getting banned were going to be the same. The only difference is Yeti is demoded.

All,

I realize assanni irritates a lot of people, but I don't think the things he does merit punishment.

[/ QUOTE ]

yea, the arguments displayed here by yeti taken into action across the forum would singlehandedly wipe out TWOPLUSTWO.

Are we talking about the oats or the numbers?

LLOZL

So I just looked through assani's OOT post history for the past month and can't find a single instance of him derailing and ruining threads with his numbers. Just what exactly are you people talking about?

notice he hasn't posted since his 3 hour ban.

honestly i think this guy is so [censored] up in the head that he is now not posting on purpose just so that people start saying "whoa.. where is assani???" and start making a bigger deal about the ban.

[/ QUOTE ]

Take it fwiw, but I know he went to bed at 8 last night because he hadn't slept in over a day, but please keep coming up with ridiculous reasons to try to show that he should be banned.

[/ QUOTE ]

not posting isn't a reason to be banned. please keep the strawmen coming though. it is almost halloween.

everyone realizes he was banned for three hours right? three hours.

i mean, he was PM'd about his bevahior in OOT and didn't respond to the PM and just continued to post his shtick, so he was banned for THREE HOURS in order to get the message.
