Default Performify\'s Pigskin Picks: Week 15

Sorry, a busy week due to holiday partys / etc kept this from going up sooner / being more in depth in the writeup department. Not many plays that my system likes this week, at all.

2006 Year to Date: Public Picks record:
Game of the Week: 6 - 4 - 4 +11.70
non GotW picks: 17 - 25 - 1 (4.62)
All Straight Picks: 23 - 29 - 5 +7.08
Tease of the Week: 6 - 3 - 0 +6.20
All Public Picks: 29 - 32 - 5 +13.28

Weighted Record ala Fezzik:
Straight Weighted: 68 - 60 53.20%
All Weighted: 85 - 70 54.90%
GotW Weighted: 32 - 20 61.54%

Cincy +3.5 (-112) at Indy: Game of the Week, 5.6u to win 5u. I have this game nearly equal, so getting 3.5 is huge here. I'd wait to place, keeping an eye on the line because Indy is a strong public favorite here so late money will likely move in on them, getting an even better line.

KC +9 (-106): 2.12u to win 2u. As strong as the Chargers are, they can coast a little here, the Chiefs are in a must-win. I don't expect the Chiefs will, but I have this game being decided by a single score.

Teaser: Chicago -6.5, Chargers -2.5: I have Chicago covering outright (as just below a 1u pick threshold) but I have moving them inside the 7 a very strong play here. Chargers likewise inside the three. 2.4u to win 2u.

Summary of Picks for Week 15: [*] Cincy +3.5 -112 : 5.6u to win 5u[*] KC +9 (-106) : 2.12u to win 2u[*] 6.5pt teaser: Chicago -6.5, Chargers -2.5: 2.4u to win 2u

Damn, I wish you had gotten this up earlier. I was thinking of betting on CHI, but with Tank and Harris both out, thought 13.5 was a little high. So I was thinking of throwing the Bears in a few teasers, but talked myself out of it thinking my Chicago bias was skewing my analysis.

I like the Cincy pick too.

I'm having trouble deciding whether I like Cincy better with the spread or the moneyline. I might just bet both.

Stupid Brett Favre. Had he not [censored] the bed, I would have been close.

Zero freaking points from my QB who was projected to have a monster game... Still wouldn't have won (since you've still got two guys to go), gg LT, but Gore did a pretty good job trying to keep up with LT otherwise...

Tough to say after the fact of course, but I think I was on the right side of this game.

The Chargers offense struggled other than LTs single big run, the Chargers caught a big break on the punt block ruling, and the Chiefs were in position to score at the end of the game to go back inside a single possession to cover, but Kennison dropped a pass that hit him in the hands on 4th and 3 which would have put the Chiefs inside field goal range on that next series. Anyways, thats how it goes.

The Chargers covering probably has a negative impact on the potential for movement in the Indy line tonight.

I agreed that very often the Chargers win by only one possession.

I disagreed with the Chargers coasting part though. Some KC players made public comments about the Charger's being soft after their first meeting in Arrowhead. Thought that might give the Chargers the spark that might not otherwise be there to get up for the game.

You got robbed on the Bears game though. They really blew it in the fourth quarter.
