std would be to check, i'd imagine ae's range is usually pretty weak here so let him bluff, and he won't call with much worse, in other words usually a players betting range > calling range here. However, because he prob knows you should check here betting like 400 could be very good, and could get looked up ridiculously light. Shoving is probably pretty bad though as it looks really unnecessary spot, and doesn't rep a bluff too well. I've never played against/seen either of you play so i could be way off.

However, the board didn't run out too well for you to bet.

the whole hand tilts me, the way you played more than the way i played it, but nevertheless, the way it was played tilts me in a tilting fashion

Do those who advocate checking this river want to c/c or c/r this river for value? I initially thought c/c, but it seems very unlikely we are beat given the turn action.

this completely depends on whether he would shove the turn with Ax or check to induce bluffs, since if he has Jx here i think he is definitely calling some % of the time and betting 0%.

I don't see what you want him to call with?? QJ? Axss?
IMO you almost only get called by a better hand and I guess that's why he called (thinking you couldn't be betting this type of hand there) you so light with A3
