Default This has happened to me three times now...

This has to be a mistake of the new Party software, I can't ever remembering it happening before. So I'm on the big blind while it's hand-for-hand, the hand finishes, and there's an empty seat to my right. A table is broken up and the table I'm at is now filled. The very next hand, I get the BB again, while the button moves to the previous hand's small blind and the new player is the SB. This isn't right is it? Shouldn't I be the button now? This especially sucks when dropping to the final table and you get slammed with 20K+10K(and antes) two hands in a row. Anyone else notice this, seems wrong.

Noticed it, but so far it has only worked in my favor. I figure it will work for and against you in equal amounts, so I just ignore it.

One of my friends had that happen to him too. He got the BB like 3-4 hands in a row, and it crippled him. He contacted Party and sent the information, they looked into it and refunded him his buy-in.

Looks to me like they assign the button, THEN take into account the new players. Should be the opposite I think.

So, does anyone speak foreigner English? Translation?

I have checked the hand history of the Tournament ID 557788 and see that in Game ID 3977344856, Seat 10 (johnmc417) was the button and DanielBear23 (Seat 1) posted the small blind and you have (Seat 3) posted the big blind.

In the next hand (Game ID 3977352089) the button was at seat 1 (DanielBear23), because, if the button had to moved to other seat then the player on seat 2 (henric12) would have missed his obligation to post the blind and would have just posted the small blind. Hence the button stayed on seat 1 (DanielBear23) and the seat 2 (henric121) and seat 3 (CrazyPsycho) were small and big blind respectively.

Our software has been designed in such a manner that the players inherit any obligations (taking the blinds) or receive any benefits (getting the button) when transferred as a result of their table breaking down.

Players are dealt in the next hand after a transfer (unless they are moved into the small blind position). Players are informed when they are transferred (and when others are transferred to their table).

In transferring players from one table to another to keep tables balanced, we try to be as fair as possible to players to maintain the same distance from the blind after the transfer. The difference in distance from the blind for a player, before and after the transfer, is not required to be zero.

Multi-table tournaments, tables are broken (condensed) from the highest number to the lowest number. Tables will be balanced (Max occupancy - Min occupancy) according to the following variance:

a. 3 players if the number of running tables > 10
b. 2 players if the number of running tables is > 2 and < 10
c. 1 player if the number of running tables is 2

Haha. One time I was playing a freeroll on party and I ate the BB three hands in a row. We were deep in the tourney and my M was 5 before the whole fiasco started. It sucked big time! When I e-mailed their support staff they gave me the same kind of Gibraltarenglish BS that you got. Party is just dumb.
