Old play money account troubling me at PS

Ok so about almost two years ago I made an account at pokerstars and played about 2 freerolls and thats it, never played since.

Now I'd like to start playing with real buckos there and started making a new account until I remembered that I already have one there. After long search I found my username and got the password through "forgot your password"-hoolabaloo and the username i've chosen two years ago is a no-no. There are several reasons for this but the main reason is that I'm keeping a blog with the same name and I'm doing these projects like "$1k profit in NL10 starting now". If I start playing at stars with that same screenname, I doubt I'll face so much harassing from donks who read my blog that it's impossible to keep doing these projects.

As I have never deposited any money into my stars account, I emailed support and asked if they could delete my account and I could make a new one with different screenname and the answer was no. At first they didn't even read my mail since they thought I've played there already and it would be unfair to other players since they already have reads and notes of me. After I emailed I've played 0 hands there so far so this wouldnt be unfair to anybody they answered with some copy pasted gibberish which didnt even make any sense.

After that I emailed them for the third time and explained this project stuff etc and said that almost every other site has accepted the same request without any hesitation and they answered with rather unfriendly message which was basically that it was my own fault and now I have to deal with it.

Imo pretty weird that they cant let me make a new account since I have a PLAY MONEY ACCOUNT made two years ago.

So whats my play, I really cant do anything about it can I?

Nah, its not like that. It's ppl from higher stakes coming to the tables I play at (most of my projects are in micros) and make it as hard as possible for me to grind with somekind of sense. Once I did a headsup donkament project and this one regular mid stakes guy did his best to ruin my challenge and registered to all headsup sit n gos I did and totally owned me and some other guy did the same and went to preflop lottery. He actually helped me since he was easy $$$ but not actually what I was hoping to do in my project. It was a similar situation where I used the same username at the site as I use on my blog.

You aren't allowed to change your name. You are only allowed to have one account. Your only "play" would be to play on your own account, or open an account in someone else's name. Don't complain when they close your second account because you broke the T&C.

So far I havent broken anything. I was just wondering if theyre just dealing me the easy way since this is the first play money account that troubles me and I did many when I started playing poker - with play money ldo.

I have had two of my different casinos accounts changed and another one of those was and old account which I had used and played hundreds of thousands of hands with.

How about if I ask them to delete my account since I'm not able to play anymore and dont want them to have any information of me, wait for a couple months and then decide I want to play online poker again? As a client I have my right to demand them deleting my account which every casino does if I know correct. Creating a new account afterwards shouldnt be a problem, right?

Wrong. They will close the new account.

You have have asked them the question and they have given you their answer. Just accept it or play elsewhere if you don't like it.

just make a new acct w/ diff username, pretty simple since stars has givin' you their definitive answer.

although i did change my stars username quite a while back (~4yrs ago), just had to bust on em for a while and did have legitimate reasons.

Did you start your play money account on Pokerstars dot NET? If so, you MIGHT be ok. Just use another computer/email address.
