NFL - Is home team advantage dropping?

Did you guys take into account "home" games played outside of the home stadium? Those might need to be disregarded. New Orleans' games in Texas after Katrina shouldn't count. The game in London and Mexico City shouldn't either. Although this is only a couple games, they could account for some of the differences.

It seems to me that the only way to judge this is if there were parity between the AFC and the NFC.

Parity between the AFC and the NFC is by far the greatest variable in this.

In my previous post you see in 2006 the stats how the AFC dominated the NFC and the NFL Home Advantage was only 53.12%

For an extreme example lets assume the NFL was made up of the current AFC and the NFC was all High School teams.

NFL teams play 12 conference and 4 non conference games a year. Lets use 58% Home feild Advantage as a constant for each conference.

Because the AFC would win all the Intra Conference games, it would make the NFL Home Feild Advantage 43.5%
