Pokerroom had a large tournament where once it hit the money everyone flew to Barcelona and played the rest of it out live. Ever since I've been saying there needs to be more tournaments like that

why not do this, but let people finish it online. considering online tournament plays so much differently, i think flying people out and letting them finish online would allow the same precautions, while preserving the fact that it's an online poker tournament.

if it was televised, they'd get all the computers sponsored, and it would be the first online poker televised

imo finishing it live would be soo much better. television viewers would be like "oh, these people made the final table from online? and two of these guys only invested like sixty bucks? wow! i gotta try out this online poker thing"

I really like this idea..

I'm not sure how the battelship style works, but instead of radio broadcast, PokerStars can actually have video broadcast of the final table where everybody has a laptop playing online while they can look at each other around the table.. Any railbird can watch the event in the PokerStars application or PokerStars video broadcast. Making a video broadcast is a lot of work compared to radio broadcast, but EPT=PokerStars so that shouln't be a problem at all.

To not confuse everyone by the fast paced play Lee Jones is commenting all the action in every pot like in the EPT

This would also make a WCOOP bracelet even bigger.

A TV deal could maybe be done too, and when the average joe is watching someone win almost $2 million ONLINE they sign up on PokerStars the next minute.

"Battleship style" or regular live poker, a televised wcoop final table would be awesome for online poker.

I think battleship would probably be even better for online poker because it'd be like televised online poker.

Altho maybe it just wouldn't look that good on TV...
