Pet Peeves during live MTTs

It was one of the nightly tournaments at the Mirage [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

The guy at the final table who is berating everyone to chop because he doesn't even have enough chips to make the big blind.

The guy who calls your allin with 30% of his stack with 56offsuit...of course he always does it when you have 44.

People who want to talk to me when I have my IPOD on...I guess it isn't obvious why I have it on.

Floorperson who sets the dealer box on the table in front of you when you finished one inside the money and didn't even get your full buyin back and then says "would you like to leave a little something for the dealers?"

Dealers who can't handle a side pot.

Sunglasses in a $100 event.

Getting AA in level one.

I find a lot of these pet peeves entertaining during an otherwise boring live tournament.

During a Borgata tournament a few weekends ago, a woman had this consistent mannerism of checking her cards, putting in her chips, and then putting on her sunglasses. One time, she was so involved thinking about her PF raise amount that some old guy on the button called the clock on her PF and she forgot to put her glasses on once she finally made her min raise. Right before I folded in the BB, I jokingly whispered to the SB, "look, she didn't put her glasses on, do you think it's a tell?" The SB triumphantly announces to the table, verbatim: "This woman has a tell, when she doesn't put her glasses on, she's extremely strong."

Punchline: as the woman is gathering the pot, she quietly whispers a line (or close enough) from the movie Rounders, "the rule is, if you spot a man's tell, you don't say a freaking word."

I hate with a passion min raisers and people who donk bet min bet... Srsly wtf? I raise to 150 pre flop they call.. They bet 50 on flop then it comes to me and im like O RLY? and have no idea what this stupid bet means as its so stupid...

This may not make sense, but I HATE a drunk player.

They take foreeeeeeever, and don't play near correctly.

I was in this like 40 person tourney, paid top four, and I was chip leader with five left.


Drunk guy keeps calling me, My AK beat by his Q4, then my 10 10 beat by 5-6, and so on and so on.

He takes the chip lead, then KO's me with his 22 vs my KK.

I get up and leave with nothing, drunk guy has like 75 percent of the chips with four people left.

He keeps playing like a maniac, and finishes, yep, fourth.

No sober person would have played the way he did.

I HATE drunks!

old guys who think they know how to play, and berate you when you make what they consider an incorrect play

guys that call my all in with 4 2 because they were suited and then knock me out of the tournament when they pair their 4 on the turn

subsequently having to suffer through serious, half-hour discussions of online poker being rigged

old guys that get mad at me for shoving w/ <10BB's

Besides all of the above? People who try to hide their big chips and dealers who don't tell them it's illegal.
Then I have to tell them and they argue every time till the dealer finally sets them straight.
