Default Just another river c/r bluff, 25/50

Villain in this hand is Veni_Vidi_Vici_, formerly huungry_shark. I know he's been playing these games a long time so I assume he's a winner, but definitely not one of the bigger ones. He runs around 25/19 or so and pretty aggressive. We don't have any recent history but he knows I'm a reg and I assume he respects my game somewhat since he hasn't sat down to play me HU on the other tables I'm waiting at.

FWIW, he timed down a little before betting the river despite not playing many tables or being involved in any other big hands as far as I could see. It wasn't a major tank, but enough to be noticable.

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $25/$50 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

Hero (SB): $5,075.00
BB: $1,410.00
UTG: $9,285.00
BTN: $2,645.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 Players)
UTG raises to $175.00, BTN folds, Hero calls $150.00, BB folds

Flop: ($400) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $350.00, Hero calls $350.00

Turn: ($1100) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, UTG checks

River: ($1100) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $755.00, Hero raises to $2,000.00

I figure I could easily play a flopped boat, any 9, T8 and so on like this. If you don't like it, do you prefere a bigger raise? We had like 4k left after his river bet.

I think the raise size is good (unless he will decide you'd raise bigger with good made hands). If he has a flush he isn't folding for more and I think it accomplishes the same as a $3k+ bet against his range of non-flush+ hands.

100% he isn't one of the bigger winners, he must mean he's a donator. I wasn't really sure since I've only just started playing 25/50.

that raise needs to be way bigger. People like him aren't folding anything that he valuebet with to that raise
