the padres look very good. i would say they'd do well to add one big bat at the deadline (although, wouldn't everyone?)

[/ QUOTE ]

My halos need one, although they're winning at the moment... I honestly don't know how they're doing it though. Yea, Willits and Cabrera are getting on base a lot and Vladdy is driving everyone on the planet in, but still, how long is that going to last? If we could add a nice big bat in the middle of the lineup (is Dunn gettable?) I'd probably make a mess in my pants.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just get Kotch to bat 4th and problem solved

Not sure what ESPN Power Rankings you were looking at, but the ones I am reading have the Angels at #1. Padres #2.

You might want to wait for their HR/FB to "normalize".

Peavy's 1.3 will go up, and Johan's 12.5 will come down.

Yea, see, he's another example... Kotch has been raking, but is he really this good a hitter, or is he just riding the high side of variance? I'd really like to see someone more 'proven' hitting behind Vlad. Supposedly Rivera's going to be back later this summer so that should definitely help.
