Default Padres #1 on ESPN power rankings

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/powerranking

I never hear anything about the Pads here, so I thought I'd post this. I'm sure I'll get a ton of posts about how they'll never get out of the first round if they make the playoffs again because they don't have a big bat, blah blah. Adrian Gonzalez? The Pads have the #1 relief corps in the MLB by over 1 point in ERA and their starters are the nuts. Pitching and defense wins games? Am I the only Padres fan here? Discuss?

the padres look very good. i would say they'd do well to add one big bat at the deadline (although, wouldn't everyone?)

That is all disgruntled Padres fans talk about on the radio down here. We've seen it happen the last two years.

My halos need one, although they're winning at the moment... I honestly don't know how they're doing it though. Yea, Willits and Cabrera are getting on base a lot and Vladdy is driving everyone on the planet in, but still, how long is that going to last? If we could add a nice big bat in the middle of the lineup (is Dunn gettable?) I'd probably make a mess in my pants.

yeah the indians look sexy right now. the sox might end up needing a bat more than the indians if manny, drew, lugo, crisp all continue to underperform and youkilis and lowell do the whole 2nd half suck thing. lowell has a track record at that, youk it's not such a given.

if people actually start hitting what they would really need is another good bullpen arm. i would love to get neshek.

I had no idea that the Rangers have the worst record in the league by like 2-3 games.

Sigh.
