I'm interested if anyone ever stops betting this 88 on any street. I'm in the SB with 88. Mp3 raises to $10, folds to me, I call, BB folds. Flop 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Hero checks, Mp3 bets, Hero raises, MP3 calls. Turn is 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero bets, mp3 calls. River is 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. hero bets, mp3 calls.

Board = 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I think I would 3-bet this PF - you are likely to be ahead of mp3, but your equity will improve a lot if you can knock out the BB.

Other than that I play it the same. If you had a read that mp3 was at all agressive than you could check/call the river, but I think against an unknown a bet is better.

slowplay turns to crap when the board gets all super-connected and suited.

3-bet pf. You have to get BB out and take the initative.

I would have reraised (3-bet) preflop. As you are SB I think this is absolutely necessary. I think you have to knock out the BB if you can, rather than calling and giving him odds to call. I think you should want to get heads-up with the stealer.

Given that you didn't reraise preflop, I think the flop check-raise is good play.

I think you were correct to bet out on turn and river against an unknown...
