I've taken this line before with a hand like 88-TT, against an aggressive villain that will fire 2-3 barrels. I don't think we ever get raised by a bluff, and we avoid calling a pot sized bet if we're committed to showing down. There are some issues with this line, but if we just don't know about his frequencies for betting the river with better or worse hands, the block seems useful.

I know I'm not a really good player, but I don't think I'm bad either. Thoughts on my thoughts?

fwiw i think "blocking" this river with 88-TT is terrible. i had 66 and it was 100% a bluff in my mind. flame away...

this is a pretty bad play with 66 although i guess it worked, op might have had the player wrongly described, since its really rare to see normal tags show up with 66 and stuff here.
