yeah turn bet was a little bit of a [censored] up...i can read the pot size but this is my first time playing 3/6 and i just automatically bet something in that 90-100 neighborhood.

if i shove the river i don't think he can call with 88 or whatever that he may have. i think it's a definite c/f.

1) Value shoving the river is probably the worst thing I've ever heard in my entire life. I feel like channeling the Adam Sandler scene "at no point during your rambling, incoherent statement ...." etc.

2) $50-$53 on the flop is better. Agreed somewhat that if you bet the turn, make it more.

3) Limp UTG/call means he's fairly unlikely to have a random 9, and there's not many naked Ax hands he can get to the river with. If you're beat, it's a flush more then anything. As played folding is tempting, but you're getting 4-1, look him up.

[ QUOTE ]
He has 88 or something like every time here

[/ QUOTE ]

i'm confused why you think this...is he trying to turn his 88 into a bluff for 1/3 pot on the river when he only has like 200 left?

he's a half stack retardo. sure he will have caught up with A8o or a flush some portion of the time but there is tons of absolute crap in his range and we need to be right less than 20% of the time. some guys just can't help betting if checked to regardless of whether worse can/should call, and it is very unlikely he is a thinking player.

btw my valueshoving river remark relied on betting more on the turn, i would not shove the river as played.

Given the awkward amount he has in his stack I may just push the turn.

Given that he bet the river I don't think he has 88 ever. Those saying he can't call a shove on this river with worse are out of their minds......this guy is obviously a loose passive fish, and loose passive fish don't have fold buttons. Given that you're getting 4:1, I think the river is a call. You lose here most of the time, but he can show up with 56 or whatever enough to call this IMO. I'd fold to a shove though.

i bet more on the flop and overshove the turn here vs this stack size
