Chicago casino recommendation
I'm headed to Chicago this summer for a conference and I thought I'd spend a night or two playing some cards. What is the best cardroom in the Chicago area (>40 miles or so from the DePaul campus)? Thanks!

Re: Chicago casino recommendation
There are a lot of casinos greater than 40 miles from DePaul Campus.
For closer options, go to Indiana. |

Re: Chicago casino recommendation
Midstakes: Resorts. Small stakes: Majestic Star. Both are in indiana: take I-90 South and follow the signs.

Re: Chicago casino recommendation
From the Depaul area you aren't gonna find signs for I-90 south. Take I-94 East to the Skyway, and then follow the signs.
A bit more info also: Majestic Star 2: Limit: 3/6 mostly, maybe 5/10 and up a bit on weekends. NL: 1/2NL (100max) and 2/5NL (300max) Resorts: Limit: 5/10 and up. NL: 2/5NL (not sure max) and maybe 5/10NL (again not sure) |

Re: Chicago casino recommendation
It's $6 per half hour for the 1/2 and I think $7 for the 2/5.
But yeah, only good if you win a few pots an hour. |

Resorts has 5/10 NL (1000 Max) and 10/25 NL uncapped usually runs on Friday's. |

Re: Chicago casino recommendation
If you want a beatable 3-6 game, Majestic is your place. Call ahead up to an hour before if you're going on a weekend. From DePaul, I agree with mblax - take Fullerton or North to LSD. But then you need to take Stony Island south (exit LSD at Museum of Science & Industry) to get to the Skyway (90/94), take Skyway east/south to Cline Ave., and follow signs to Buffington Harbor.
Also bring some hand sanitizer. |
