Default RESULT: Tough call with three Aces?

Well, i was a little worried about 33 or A3, but like I said, I can't see this opponent raising all in with those hands. So I called and the BB called. Villian had AQ and the BB was drawing, and missed. Villian and I split. I don't know why villian didn't raise pf w/ the AQ, and that was paradoxically the reason I was worried and also the reason I called.

Leading into the pf raiser is usually seen as weak, which is why it is a good move to make when you are strong. bb calling screams draw. So your opponent sees a big pot and a guy on a draw. He will raise if he thinks he has the best hand, and he thinks you are weak. Also, you do still have equity against A3/33 and you are getting an overlay (esp if you assume bb will overcall the push), so calling here can't be a huge mistake. I think it's more likely he's not full though since he is trying to protect against the draw.

why is there so much discussion of this hand when

1) people will do this with any ace
2) there is a possible flush draw
3) this is a live game
4) you have less than 100BBs, even if it does amount to two buy ins

Can't believe anyone is saying to fold.

Meh, call me crazy, but I just don't see him pushing with AT or worse.

AJ is a possibility, and I suppose that alone might make it worth a call.

These all assume BB is in there with a flush draw:

You have 23% equity against 33.

You have 13% equity against A3.

You have 21% equity against AK.

You have 59% equity against AJ.

He probably only has A3 if it is suited which is exactly one combination, so if you are beat your equity should be somewhere pretty close to 20%. Given the price that you are getting, you had better be pretty damn sure that you are beaten in order to fold (I'm assuming that we know bb will overcall, based on his description).
