Various WSOP events: limit or no limit?
A simple question, but I can't find any info, especially on the official web site. And it appears that the event list at most sites is a cut and paste of the official site. See link below.
All of the holdem events specifically say either limit, pot limit, or no limit. All of the Omaha events are listed as pot limit. The 2-7 draw specifically says NL. None of the Omaha High-Low or Stud or Razz games say whether they are limit or whatever. Neither does the HORSE event. I just read an entire blog on the first 2 days of Event 8 (O/8) and it didn't say if it was limit or not, and there was not enough info about the plays to even guess. If this a secret, I promise not to tell anyone else. Official schedule. |

Re: Various WSOP events: limit or no limit?
All of the Omaha/8, Stud, and Razz tournaments are limit.
Oh god, the web site redesign is so ugly. The official schedule used to be here: www.worldseriesofpoker.com/2006wsop.asp You can still get it from the Google cache. Anyway, that page linked to schedules for each event, which included the limits for the limit events. I have no idea where that information is on the new site. |

Re: Various WSOP events: limit or no limit?
Hold-em is the only game on the WSOP schedule that has different betting rules for the different events. All Stud games and variants are fixed limit. All Omaha/8 is fixed limit. All Omaha High only is pot limit. The 2-7 event is No-Limit. HORSE is fixed limit until the final table, which is NLHE. |
