pimping in LV

About 3 weeks ago a friend and I were on the greyhound on our way home from Las Vegas thinking about the future and ways to make money. He knows nothing about poker so as a 2 man venture that was out of the question. We noticed a bunch of Mexicans on the strip flicking cards with hookers on them. Then it came to me; prostitution legalized in Nevada? From what I know It isn't allowed on the actual strip but elsewhere it is. This is a serious decision so we discussed it for several hours and put in some work upon coming home. He took out a loan and now owns a pretty sweet s500 (his only real asset and this was before our trip to LV he didn't buy it planning on becoming a pimp). We got a couple cheap suits and actually found a few girls who would be down to be put out on the track. These girls definitely aren't top notch; unintelligent 18 year olds with no college/work prospects but they are cute enough. I banged one of them last weekend when I was wasted. I would say 6-7/10 but the lure would be that they are legitimately 18. Anyways they would sell and stay loyal.

Seems great cause we got a car and some girls (3 .. more than enough before it becomes too much to handle. I actually think 1 a piece might be optimal at first) but we run into some obstacles. We know nothing about pimping except what we saw on American Pimp. He thinks there will be a lot of danger involved and we will have to get rough with the girls which he doesn't want to do. I think since it is legalized it will probably be different and our operation will be pretty low key so it wont draw heat. I would honestly be down to just go down there and try to set up shop. My friend Marcus however is having serious second thoughts and probably doesn't want to do it anymore. He thinks we could make money but he thinks we will get into more trouble than its worth and won't know what to tell his family.

Anyone know more about this and could share some of the risk/reward with me?

C) You're coming to an internet message board full of college (drop out) poker players for advice on how to be a good pimp?

I don't know what I'm doing really but I'm looking into and this internet message board is one place to do that as the participants are generally of above average intelligence. I can't very well walk down to the Fillmore and just start inquiring. It's far fetched but if its legal I might be down to try it. As far as exploiting 18 year olds; I'm not forcing them to do anything. Pimping is exploitative by nature but i think it comes down to the relationship between the pimp and the prostitute whether its positive or negative. I look at it like this. I'm enabling these girls to exploit tricks and make more money than they would otherwise be able to do. Like I said I'm not taking anybody away from their dreams or anything. They have no real prospects and are already blowing too many lines and getting around. might as well get paid and i could also keep my girls straight. At the same time I'm not trying to be some "moral pimp" but if the girls agree, and they'd prolly be doing the same or similar activities anyways, I might as well make a buck.

I think your doomed for failure if you try to set up shop in the county where prostitution is legal. They have brothels there with men experienced in running legal whore houses and your girls will migrate there without a doubt. You need to do it on the illegal tip. Open up an escort agency (advertise on craigslist, in the whore papers-whatever they may be in las vegas, etc) and send your chicks to hotels in Las Vegas. Just make sure they will never testify against you if they get set up by a cop in the hotel room, they need to take the pinch and keep their mouths shut and you are all set.

I think that changes a lot because it was my understanding that prostitution was legal in all of Nevada except for the immediate area around Las Vegas Boulevard. I've been misinformed? They craigslist thing could work but if i were to do it illegally i might as well just do it near home as I already know ppl who use that to find girls. But if I had to do it illegally I don't think the girls would be down because that was part of the allure to them. The legalization brought it on par with stripping and porn to them and I agree that I wouldn't be successful in competition with established brothels etc. in one county. They like the strip and if we couldn't do it there i don't know if it would happen. If a girl gets caught on the strip what happens to her? It's my understanding that punishment is harder on pimps than it is the girls too, correct?

This can't be a real post. Yes prostitution is legal in that county, but it's regulated prostitution. Just because gambling is legal in LV doesn't mean you can run a casino out of your apartment. LV is a rough town and most likely someone would [censored] kill you if you somehow managed to avoid the cops for that long.

Not fake. When I was down there it was so rampant I figured all you needed at most was some license or something. How do those ppl get away with giving out those hooker cards all hours of the day all down the strip. My understanding was the girls themselves couldn't be on the strip but it was okay to market them 3rd person.

That's prob b/c those Mexican dudes never explicitly say anything about prostitution. They just make that clicking sound...I've never heard them speak.
