I like the IP for location, if you are gonna get a rental, then the Palace Station is pretty cheap..

tip a hotel bathroom attendant on the overnight shift a 5 spot to let you sleep in the toilet stall and use the sink to shave and wash your ass crack with wet paper towels

Cheapest on strip rooms in the area of Wynn to MB are Casino Royale and possibly Trop and IP. Also include Hooters as it is very close to MGM. If you include walkable to center or south strip, Wild Wild West and Golden Palm are walkable. CR and IP are under $50 weekdays. GP and WWW are as low as $20-30 weekdays. Weekends are substantially more. FWIW discounts can be had at Orleans with weekdays sometimes as low as $35 on their mailing list. Orleans is leaps and bounds better than any of these places.

Cheapest CASINO rooms on a regular basis are the "vintage" rooms at El Cortez, Western, Gold Spike, and possibly Vegas club. Most of these are ~25-30 a night weeknights, with some as low as $19 a night. Weekends are $35+

Not that I recommend staying at any of the above.

check www.i4vegas.com www.tripres.com and www.travelworm.com these sites deal almost exclusively with vegas hotels. I have gotten some great deals through them.

check lasvegasadvisor they compare about fiv sites 14 and travelworm included. most of the time travelworm seems to have the best prices.

Cheapest rooms are at Binions, but call and tell them that you are a poker player. I played for 8 hours and was comped my room on a tuesday.
