[ QUOTE ]
the floor directs the dealer to place the Aces in different parts of the deck before putting the deck back in the auto shuffler... [/ QUOTE ] Nothing like demonstrating your belief that the Shufflemaster is less than random to your customers. |

Re: bad beat jackpot
Where I play is simpler. 3 Aces on the board nullifies the jackpot.

Re: bad beat jackpot
In Tunica most BBJ's are split 20/30/50. The Grand is $250k, Horseshoe is 224k, and Gold Strike is over 300k.

Re: bad beat jackpot
Also, I'm pretty sure that some casinos don't pay out the full 100%, keeping as much as 10% to seed the next jackpot.

Re: bad beat jackpot
What about a situation that I experienced recently that was a board of
9c Jc Kc Kd X I ended up hitting my straight flush, other play hard KAo, if that X would have been the 4th K, and since the other player's A would have technically played, this in theory would be a qualified BBJ? |

[/ QUOTE ] Depends. Some clubs require that quad Xs be made with a pocket pair of Xs and two Xs on the board, not three Xs on the board and one X in hand. If the club does not have that requirement, your example qualifies. |

[/ QUOTE ] Every jackpot I've ever seen, the amount on the board is the amount paid out. The amount kept as seed for the next jackpot is not posted on the board. Why would they post the money that they WON'T be paying? |

Re: bad beat jackpot
This is kind of apple to oranges, but at UB, they keep 25% to start the next jackpot, AND 10% juice. Pretty ridiculous, IMO.
