PF: I like 3 betting AQs instead of the CC; it's just to big a hand to treat like 98s.

Flop: Never miss an opportunity to raise here. Calling is just wrong.

Turn: See "Flop" note above. Raise! What's the point of calling here?

River: UTG has been playing the second nut flush, I don't think he filled here. If he flopped a set and is betting like this I'd definately make a note that he's either colorblind or overplays sets on monochrome boards where people have obviously made a flush.

Betting was capped on the river (river-spew problem raising its head again...should I cap river only if I have the absolute nuts?)

[/ QUOTE ]

Capping this river is great. The thing is, if he has a boat on the river, he was aggressive enough to put in 4 bets on flop and turn with less than a flush despite the monotone board, which means he's aggressive enough to keep going with a flush now. To not cap the river you would have to think that 99 would give all this action not caring about the flush, but on the river he'll suddenly be too scared that he won't 3bet without a boat. That's kind of contradictory if you think about it.

Paradoxically I'd be more afraid of his line if he didn't cap the turn.

3-bet pf. Villain raise from late position so u have likely have the best hand. Cold-calling AQs is agaisnt an early raiser. I raise call the river. If he capped a set after u suddenly raised after an obvious flop slow-play he is retarded.

unless vil is completely and utterly braindead/randomly misclicking he doesnt have a set when he caps the turn.

cooler.

capping the river is still correct.

I don't think he caps the turn but if he does then yes capping river makes the most sense.

Sorry I spilled the beans too early on both hands I posted today. Next time I'll wait for traffic to die or someone ask.

Even though I'm too smart to blame anything else except my poor play this past week, I still feel like Hitler in that video saying "I just can't seem to catch a god damned break".

I am seriously puking on this river. The probability that there are 3 flushes out is not very high. It is equally probable that someone overplayed a set on the turn. I don't think flop is all that bad.
