How can I talk to an electronic dealer? Or players that could be half-way across the room from me?

Here's another question- will the B&Ms lower the rake, since the tables are cheaper and could have a better ROI/hour?

[/ QUOTE ]

What is all this talk about player's half way across the room? That's not the way the tables work. You sit with your opponents.

Anyway, the eTables should be cheaper and/or more profitable or what's the point of destroying jobs for less profit. I wasn't the only one who asked that.

The fact that Hollywood Park already had the highest drop in town on their $1 - $2 blind live dealer dealt NL games combined with the fact they didn't drop it for the eRoom really hurt it's acceptance IMO. My observation was the kind of players willing to initially try the eRoom were in fact collection conscious. And some (or maybe just me) resented the fact that the graphic of the drop didn't accurately reflect the way it was actually taken (Note: It was taken in full on the flop but the graphic didn't show the main (non jackpot) drop being taken until the turn; I called this practice disingenuous in a previous post).

It was funny but I had many arguments with props who didn't understand that aspect. They kept insisting that it was a rake and they pointed to the graphic on the turn as evidence of that. Amazing.

I thought someone in this thread mentioned the possible flexibility of implementations, similar to slot machines.

Doubtful, at least in CA as slot machine like games are illegal except on reservations and the numbers there are approved by the state. If you haven't seen them the etables look just like regular poker table except with a glass over the felt and each player has a display built into the table in front of their seat. They would have to be completely redesigned if casino's were allowed to have them spread out.
