Re: play this with me 10 10 facing a mp min raise
You don't have any reads? A min-raise can mean a lot, but in a low buy-in tournament this could mean a strong hand (AA, KK) trying to trap - proceed with caution.
You cannot make him fold PF (unless he is really weak and that means you have a read), so I wouldn't raise. I would probably call, leading out half pot on a not too scary flop and see what happens. |

Re: play this with me 10 10 facing a mp min raise
Huh? Are you really going to put in 30% of your stack and then fold to a raise??? Please don't. Calling should never be an option here, ever.
Personally I push this. With no reads, his raise is just as likely to be a mediocre hand as AA/KK. You have 13xBB,you need to start accumulating, and soon. I shove here, and I think it's easy too. |

Re: play this with me 10 10 facing a mp min raise
300 + your cbet of around 800 = 30%
Anyhoo,it's still a push and really not that close |

Re: play this with me 10 10 facing a mp min raise
You right kenny, it's allmost 30 %
But what are we hoping for with a push? He will not fold PF and an awfull lot of the time we will see JJ+ (probably KK+), some times "only" AQ+ and allmost never 88, 99 or trash. So if his range is JJ+, AJ+ we put in 2885 to win 3335 equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 43.711% 43.51% 00.20% 321875568 1462626.00 { TT } Hand 1: 56.289% 56.09% 00.20% 414914508 1462626.00 { JJ+, AJs+, AJo+ } That's about break even, assuming that this is his range. I think a lot of the time we will see KK+ making it an error to push. We could broaden his range giving us 50/50 to win, but personly I htink we will see KK+ too often push Therefore i advocate to call and proceed with caution, leaving us with approx 2900 to play with if we loose the hand |

Re: play this with me 10 10 facing a mp min raise
What does calling accomplish? If you truly think that his range is that tight, then you're only calling for set value. Your stack is too short to be calling for that so you have to fold preflop. Regardless the random donk's range is much wider here, so you have to shove 100% of the time.

Re: play this with me 10 10 facing a mp min raise
19/5 over how many hands?
If it over a lot of hands, I would probably let this go (but I would have some notes on him by then). If it over a relatively small number of hands (50 or less), I would probably shove. |
