I finally made my complete hand on the river, but does villan's betting tell me that I am beat? Is there are point in this hand that I should have folded?

Flop and turn 55 has you. KK has you all the way, but only a tard would play it like that.

Did you lose to a tard? If so, at least you lost the least.

Tard had Ks9s.

Don't know how I can make that read. On the turn I put him on a king but you can't see all the curveballs coming I guess.

No.

Seriously, all that beats you is KK and K9. He shouldn't have KK without a preflop raise, so that leaves the 3 combos of K9. If he has one, so be it. But if K9 is in his range, so is A9/T9/98 and maybe other 9x hands that he can be overplaying.

lol ... the only hands that beat you are flipp'n lame

on the river:
A9, K9, Q9, J9, T9, 98, 97, 96, 55, K5

river is an auto 3bet ... he caps, who cares - you lose, it happens

The question might flash through your mind on the flop after a bet and an overcall, but nowhere after that.

I was thinking that calling a bet on the flop could be profitable (getting 11 to 1) because there are a lot of turn cards that improve my hand and give me additional outs. My hand just kept getting better and better.

Is this a good way to look at a hand like middle pair with two backdoor draws in a large pot?
