Getting my XBox back today...Halo 3 or CoD4?

I had the red ring of death happen about a month ago and I'm just now getting my XBOX back.

Funds are kind of tight but I'm probably going to sell back a game or two and see if I can scrap up enough cash to get Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4.

I loved playing Halo 2 and I also liked playing Call of Duty on PC, albeit not much multiplayer experience except for the CoD2 that came with my 360.

So...which one should I buy?

Well, did you like Halo 2 more or CoD2 more (multiplayer)? Both campaigns are fairly short (COD is really short), so it all depends on which mutliplayer you like more.

If you're basically asking if I prefer real violence over alien violence then I'm really indifferent but I was impressed with the sense of community that Halo 2 has (all the matchmaking/rankings/etc).

If I get some extra money, I'll get both games most likely but as of right now, I can only afford one.

No, I'm asking which multiplayer you liked better. Personally I'm in the Halo camp as I never got into CoD. If you don't have a preference than you'll probably like both and either one you choose will be fine. I do think Halo 3 has a slightly longer campaign, but both are really short.
