Re: ****OFFICIAL LOW CONTENT THREAD v.1****
re: game progression
I was playing PLO 50 with 60 buyins or so in may, and I played the 25s for a few weeks during a big cold stretch. I'm currently compacting my databases so I can't get a graph out. I've been living off of poker for the last few months, so I'm being pretty nitty... I start to add tables at the next level when I have 30bi or so. June was 50s and a few 100s, July was mostly 100s with a few shots at the 200s, and august has been 2/3s 100 and 1/3rd 200s, now moving more towards 50-50. I currently have 45 BI for the 200s in my active bankroll, which is enough for me to be comfortable playing them exclusively, although I'll probably hold onto a few 100 tables since they've been pretty good lately. I was hoping to have 40bi for the 400s by the end of august, but I ran pretty bad for a while and managed <30k hands for both June and July, so I don't think I'm going to be able to manage that. |

Nice work. Discipline!
My progression up limits was like this: "Woh. The pots are bigger in those games. If I click this button, I will be sitting in that game with the big pots. <click>" |

Re: ****OFFICIAL LOW CONTENT THREAD v.1****
last night I stacked someone with a one outer, hitting a straight flush against his top full house when we were already all in.
Also I lost what may have been my biggest pot ever trying to catch a bluff with 2 pair, and still finished up 3k on the night. Also I won a huge pot with A358 on a 459T2 board where 4 players saw the river for €500 each. I run too good. |

Re: ****OFFICIAL LOW CONTENT THREAD v.1****
I borrowed $100 from a friend, played $50 PLO on PP, payed him his hundred back and kept 100 for myself. I then entered a $109 tourney every time I got up $100. I'm now broke. Booya.
Edit: I played 6 tourneys before I went broke. Didn't money in any ;p |

Re: ****OFFICIAL LOW CONTENT THREAD v.1****
Someone throw out some reasonable numbers for winrate at 1/2plo through 5/10plo. What type of bankroll requirements would these games have?

Re: ****OFFICIAL LOW CONTENT THREAD v.1****
There's no real consensus on bankroll. People here play anywhere from 20BI - 50+BI. Since you probably have a solid winrate in NLHE you should be ok with 30 if you stay disciplined and don't have too much of a problem picking up the game. I didn't play too much at PLO200+ before I switched to mainly hold'em, but I have a 8.9 PTBB/100 from 200-600 games over 40k hands so obviously it isn't a big sample size

Re: ****OFFICIAL LOW CONTENT THREAD v.1****
Party Poker was nice enough to give me $40 on one of my other accounts. Bought into a $50 PLO table at about 10pm... got about $280 in the account now just playing $50 tables ... weeeeeeee

[/ QUOTE ] I think 8-10bb/100 is pretty reasonable, and I've seen good players run quite a bit higher over fairly long sample sizes. On party the 1-2 and 2-4 are pretty soft, but I've heard the 3-6 is a harder game to beat. |
