Default AKs in the SB with limpers, level 1

I got this hand from a video. The play of hero and the rationale seemed a little nonstandard, so I thought it would be interesting to discuss.

Level 1 of stuper, original stacks 2K, blinds 10/20. First 3 positions limp. You have AKs in the SB. How much do you raise to? I don't know if anyone here would complete.

Is completing really THAT horrible with 3 UTG limpers at this stage? The pot is only 90 and you're out of position having to put a chunky raise in to narrow the field?

I know it's AKsoooted and not saying I'd necessarily do it - but is it that bad?

I hate this spot and I often lose quite a few chips here. If you raise big, you 're getting called a lot because of implied odds. Raising big seems put us at risk of losing a big pot and rarely winning a big pot.

I wouldn't be surprised if the player shoved or called here.

This is a raise. You have to think that they can be limping with so many hands. Try and get the pot heads up with a raise and then I C'bet the flop 100% of the time. If I make a large raise preflop and wiff on the flop then its C/F

Problem is at this stage how much do you think will get it heads up? is 80 or 100 really enough?

80 or 100 is way to small. at least 120.
