The way I see it, he's not playing a draw like this on the flop/turn....the board is too likely to have missed you completely for him not to show a little aggression with a draw early in the hand to pick up a small pot. My best guess for his hand is a big 9 or maybe a smaller 1 pair hand that was planning on raising a better-looking turn. I think you have to bet the river here, and hate yourself but call the raise.

a bet definitely has a lot of value. the thought of getting raised makes betting a lot less appealing though. with an A on the board he is going to be a lot less likely to bluff so i think you can fold, but the fact that he will sometimes bluff takes away some value from betting. still, i think he has a smaller pair very often. he might've been waiting for the turn to raise but the A scared him. maybe he has bottom pair. if he called the turn with the A on the board i think he will call again.

Unless the villain makes tricky plays (like bluff raising the river), wouldn't bet/fold be a fine line? If he was calling the flop to raise the turn with top pair and the A scared him then he isn't raising the river with top pair. Same with any other pair, and it doesn't seem like he was drawing because he didn't bother semi bluff raising the flop or the turn. Looks like some pair that you beat to me, and because he called the flop and turn, it looks like he is calling the river.

I'd bet and call a raise.

I like bet/fold. If he's not that great then he won't raise you unless you're beat. I don't like to check and see him roll a 6 or a 9.

This looks very right. He could even have a 9 like K9.

If this was 6 handed and you bet the river, would that effect how this plays at all?
