Default Tips for a beginning car salesman

I lurk OOT and thought this place would be a good place to ask for tips on a upcoming carsalesman.

So I got a job as a car salesman at Nissan. And right when I walk in, I see my old supervisor from when I used to work at Fry's Electronics.

So I say whats up to him, and he's telling the guy who walked me over to him how great of a worker I was at Fry's(I really wasn't though in my opinion, but I never gave him any problems). So we get reacquainted and when I turn around I see a guy I used to play poker with at the casinos all the time.

I found out he's actually a manager. I get an interview with a different manager, until he passes me over to the guy I know. We start talking about poker for a bit and stuff, then we get down to business and I tell him I'll be 100% committed to this business.

He even wants me to get on the sales floor as soon as possible, so I think I'll start flippin within the next week. In the meantime, I'm asking you guys, OOT, for some tips to being a good carsalesman. Oh and FWIW, I consider myself to have pretty good morals and am aware of the "cutthroat" business this is.

Try to stick it to people with the rustproofing/undercoating. It's free money for you!

Don't take baths, be all greasy (hair and skin not from working on cars) and wear an ass load of Old Spice.

Don't car salesmen suffer from extremely high rates of burnout?
