Default 600nl: Bet for value and fold to cr on river?

Villian is 41/18/2.3. Needless to say not very good.

Good bet for value and then good fold to river cr?

Fold is stnd, but I think valuebet is VERY VERY thin.

I wouldn't rule out the call here against a weak villain, though it's not the standard line. You could be looking at 89s.

I thought he was valuebetting pocket eights, not A8. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

No, it's not a thin value bet.
Even still, it wouldn't be that thin with a tighter opponent.

Yea, bet river, and fold. Even though you would have the best hand, you won't have to push marginal edges against this player. He's so bad you'll get a better spot.
