Default Starting hands when shorthanded?

Been palying a few O8 sitngo's on Stars usually get to last 4/5 but then seem to blind out how do you guys lower your starting hand reqts at shorthanded tables?

Stop thinking you need an A2 or A3 in your hand for your low to be good.

So basically, you need to be a better Omaha high player to be able to play in the shorthanded games of Omaha/8?
