Default CRAZY LIVE 10/20 TABLE WTF?? I HATE LIMIT

Ok I'm playing 10/20 Limit at Hollywood Casino in Aurora, IL. Most of the table is retarded. Most of the time its not that crazy, but heres the thing, when pots get capped all these nutbags like to cold call 4 bets. People just do not fold preflop ever. Last time I had AKs I hit my king in a 7 way, capped preflop pot, and got raped by a guy who cold called 4 bets preflop and rivered his bottom 2 pair. Anyway here is the hand:

UTG retard raises to 20, next retard2 raises to 30 (hes new to the table so I didn't know he was retarded yet) So I just call with JJ. Retard3 on my left calls the 30, then it gets capped by a non retard, and then retard4, retard5, and retard6 COLD CALL! WTF. OK the original retard, retard2, myself, and retard3 all call as well. 8 People to this flop.

FLOP: 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked to Retard2 (guy who 3-bet preflop), who bets 10, I call, Retard3 calls, Non Retard (guy who capped) raises to 20, RETARDS 4,5, and 6 CALL! Retard2 and I call as well.

So we are down to 6 people. I'm pretty sure the non retard has AA and his hand is still good because no one raised him.

TURN: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] TOTAL BLANK

Checked to Non Retard, who bets 20 gets a call from Retards 4 and 6, Then Retard 2 Raises! I FOLD. Is this the correct play? Should I be going to showdown with and overpair, dry board, and a [censored] ton of $$$$ in the pot against a bunch of tards?

You should cap preflop, raise the flop and get to showdown here.

These games have huge swings, but are among the most profitable.

I'm not sure this hand is easier to play on a NL table.

It is tough to know where you are in games like this, especially with unknown players. Unless you KNOW a certain player won't be pumping it without a set or two pair it is hard to fold. If you KNOW other players will pump top pair or flush draws, then you need to keep raising.

By KNOW, I mean you have been playing with that player for enough time to understand how they play.

There would be a raise, I would reraise, guy with aces probably pumps it in and I either call or fold. You don't have to mess with the whole table getting infinite pot odds.

1) You have to cap it vs. 2 tards. They're giving you free money; make them give you more of it. Also, you have to take control of the hand to the best of your ability.

2) Raise the flop. There are 33 bets in the flop when the action gets to you. Raising doesn't really protect your hand, but you raising into the preflop capper has to be seen as a sign of strength.

3) By the turn, I don't know what to do with the way you've played the hand so far, which is one reason I would have been aggressive earlier in the hand. Looking at it as things are, though: there are 23 big bets in on the turn, plus five more when the action gets back around to you. so you're getting 14 to 1 on a cold call, plus there are probably 3 more calls coming behind you. Definitely short odds to draw to a set, plus I don't know what color your jacks are. If you're ahead, a lot of cards can surely beat you here. But in a game like this I won't fold an overpair unless it's like capped to me and I've already shown strength.

But these games are great. You've gotta kinda smack people around here and there. They're raising light all over the place, so you have to punish them and give yourself every chance to win the pots you play. And you've really gotta be able to handle getting drawn out on, because it'll happen a lot. But at least you won't get stacked.

NOT that its a great situation to be in, but if you 3 bet pf, you define your hand and the holding of the guy who did actually three bet a little better. Also raise the flop. No excuse not to. Its a dry board and you don't know where you are yet...you may very well be in the lead. I agree with the poster who said he didn't know what to do with the turn because he didn't know where he was. If all those bets had gone in earlier, your decision would now be made for you. If the guy who 3 bet bets, you can call getting 22:1 to spike your set on the river. If not, then you can take the lead betting. And anyway, when you get to the river you can take the free showdown. And I think if its bet on the river, you must call 1 bet due to the pot size.

No, its just I hate playing tight and then having all my good hands cracked by the 35 combinations of draws that people have when they never fold

def cap preflop vs this group. You probably have the best hand vs people willing to call 4 cold w 10 2soooted, and HUGE set value.

On the flop I would just call because you can't protect your hand(wait for safe turn card). Any gutshot and even UI overs still have odds to call. Your relative position sucks.

On the turn, my action would depend on my read of Retard 2. Is he passive or aggressive? If he's passive it sure looks like a set or maybe 10 8?? i think at this point I'm either 3 betting for a free showdown(maybe the non retard folds his overpair?), or folding.
