Default (Lower) Limit Holdem Books?

Ive read through the posts and used the search.. Im sure this has been asked before but what is a strongly recommended read for improving my Limit game..

Ive been playing NLHE for about 2 years with reasonable success and occasionally Ill sit at a Limit game when the wait is less and I'm baffled at some of the hands I see turned over. I realize this is most likely a hole in my game not necessarily theirs.

Ill continue to read through the Limit forums and pick things up here and there but a good recommendation would be appreciated.

Obviously I think ITH is fine or I wouldn't have mentioned it but if there is anybody book that he *should* read (and read and read and read...) it's SSH.

SSHE is a good book. The only problem I have with it (and it's not necessarily a problem with the book per se, but read below) is that it often gets misapplied. Not all games, especially internet games, are as loose as that book is designed for, nor are the players as bad. In that book 5 players to the flop is considered "tight". So we have a bunch of maniacs running around raising middle pair mediocre kicker "because Ed Miller told me to." The line between exploiting donkeys and becoming one yourself can sometimes be thin.

As an all-purpose, general playing strategy, ITH is much better. In fact, everything SSHE covers ITH covers as well. It's just that SSHE specializes in the multi-player scenarios that ITH does not expound on as much.

SSHE does not help the situation by telling you that making $50,000/year playing $3/6 online is no big deal. Sorry guys, that ain't happenin' much. And it sure ain't happenin live either.

Seriously what's with you shilling ITH so hard?

Calling ITH better than SSH Is laughable because of all the various pieces of bad advice found in ITH. If you took out the example problems and just looked and the chapter text they would be much closer.

Back when SSH was written making 50k/year playing 3/6 online really wasn't a big deal. But times have changed...

Just like in ITH that there are tons of examples from 20/40ish online games where five people see the flop when today on average it's about 2.5 people for an average table.
