Default turn resteal

8-16 online 9-handed. Not a terribly aggressive table with 38% of players seeing the flop. (fairly loose for online?)
Hero has K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] first one in limping in MP1. Folded around to Villian, pretty loose and passive (36/8/0.8 losing 28 of 81 sessions for a loss of $790 after 2500+ hands) who limps on the button. SB folds and BB checks.

(3.5 SBs) Flop is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB and hero check. Villian bets (likely steal?)

(2.25 BBs)Turn 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero check raises as a resteal. Spewage?

(6.25 BBs) River J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero bets and is called by villian

Preflop: Easy raise. Most people here raise KQo in EP.

Flop: You say villian is passive yet you are hoping he is stealing. This doesn't make sense. Since the pot is small just fold your overs.

Turn: Passive villian is trying to steal the pot two streets in a row?

River: Almost no chance a bluff works here.

Thanks. He had 66. Why collect all these stats on players and not use it, huh? Slow learning curve for me unfortunately.

well why is he a losing player? he's probably passive and calls down a lot of crap hands. don't try to bluff those guys.

Niedam covered everything for this hand simply and rather well. PF raise this hand esp when first in the pot in MP.

The turn isn't really that bad, but I don't do it.

agreed. we are putting in 2 big bets in a 3.25 big bet pot with Khigh versus a known, mostly passive calling station(that has shown aggression mind you).

for the love of god raise pf. the open limp in MP1 with a good hand like KQ makes me want to cry(actually the thought of openlimping any two cards in middle position brings a tear to my eye).

I raise preflop. In fact, I'd raise KQo from UTG.

If villain is passive, this play doesn't make sense. You might try this play against weak-tight players because a c/r here 'obviously' means you hold a 5. Plus, you're risking 2 BB to win 3 BB, and I don't think that you're folding out villain > 40% of the time.

When you c/r gets called, what do you think he was calling with that he would fold the river? 67?
