He said most successful poker player and he didn't say he/she had to be a pro poker player. So I'm going to go out on a limb and say Bill Gates.

baldwin is the most successful poker player in the world though. You could say bill gates andy beal etc are poker players too so they are the most successful, but then we are getting into terminology.

Just because they didnt get their success in poker only doesnt make them discounted. In that regard you could rank Eli Elezra high up there because of all the real estate he owns, and Hellmuth for publicity etc.

Howard Lederer? Seriously... does anyone have any idea how much $$$ that guy is pulling in being the president of Tiltware? He's gotta be getting paid big time!

Bobby Baldwin and its not close.

Think about it this way- everytime you play craps, 21, or any other game at an MGMMirage casino which include Mandalay, Luxor,MGM Grand, Excalibur, NYNY, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, TI, or Mirage, you are essentially losing money to Bobby Baldwin.

He has managed to get himslef on the very profitable +EV side of table games of the most prestigious gaming company in the world.

game over Bobby wins.

Meh... a lot of you guys seem to confuse being the president of a company (a high-ranking employee), with owning the company.

Technically I guess you are right that, to the extent that Baldwins owns stock and options in the company he gets some of the profits of the casino, but I don't think that's what you had in mind. By that standard anyone who owns a $50 share of MGM can make the same grand claims about being on the right side of table games.

Without knowing his compensation package you have no idea what he is worth... Hellmuth and Lederer are both worth a ton, very possibly more than Baldwin.

Doyle and Chip are also worth a ton from sports betting and sports booking.

I think the more interesting question is who has made the most strictly from poker. That could be Phil Ivey but I wouldn't know.
