Re: getting scammed by the sushi place - whats your play?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] stinky, "i also mostly eat sashimi so its even less than it seems." You eat mostly sashimi and your sushi bill is $15-20? WTF, how small are you? [/ QUOTE ] 2 sashimi dishes + pot stickers. i wasn't that hungry. i weigh 135 pounds. [/ QUOTE ] Sashimi aren't dishes. It's just pieces of fish. "2 sashimi dishes" are 4 pieces of fish that I can probably eat in 30 seconds if I was in a hurry, or 5 minutes if I was taking my time. Your potsticker appetizer was probably the biggest part of your meal. That's a very light meal. all that to say: you're a lightweight. [/ QUOTE ] But he benches 140 kilos. |

Re: getting scammed by the sushi place - whats your play?
[ QUOTE ]
i work in a (booze) bar, and if i offer a customer an off-menu concoction of my own and they say "sure" and don't say anything further, it goes on their tab. [/ QUOTE ] This bothers me more than the sushi story. Now, if I -ask- for some drink and you say, "try this instead," that I can understand. But if the bartender just offers me to try a drink and then charges me, that's just sketchy. I've had bartenders say "try this" often, and never paid anything for those shots/drinks. [ QUOTE ] however, if they ask "is it on the house?" or something, i will almost always give it to them gratis. once. [/ QUOTE ] High up on the list of things I can never bring myself to say is, "is this free?" |
