Re: monsterdraw pretty deep getting c/r on flop
I much prefer getting the money in early with hands/situations like this. i'd 3b to ~$220.

Re: monsterdraw pretty deep getting c/r on flop
if it was 100bb and/or we have the upper end I wouldnt mind getting it in at all, but I wouldnt like it now. Also, beeing in position making me less inclined to want to get it in now.

Re: monsterdraw pretty deep getting c/r on flop
Based on the size of the stacks though, I want to build a pot early and not leave it to the turn. If you haven't hit by the turn, a lot of people end up weaksaucing it on the turn with a check behind or a call which then becomes quite transparent to the villain. If a scare card on the river falls for him (i.e. a gin card for you), he for sure won't be putting money in OOP for fear of getting raised and it's questionable as to what he'd call you with that's actually behind you. If he's contributing more money to this pot after a diamond or straight card hits, it's because he's got you dominated.
Having said all that, it really depends on how convinced you are that he's playing a mid-pair/air on this board because it's scary. It's all good and well going off history but sometimes these folks do really have a hand and it's worth building the pot with a massive draw with 2 cards to come. Yeah, defo, 3b for me although I do appreciate the argument for calling with position. |

id srsly have problems putting it in here for 250BB knowing that its almost always a straight or a set.

Re: monsterdraw pretty deep getting c/r on flop
Initial bet way too small.. $26-30 much better.
