Betting the Pot
Im not a high stakes player at all but as i watch the 200+ sngs more and more it seems that they almost ALWAYS bet the pot, regardless. Is this a good idea at any level and especially at the lower levels (<10) ?

Re: Betting the Pot
depends on the situation, youll need to most specific hands/situations to get a better answer. when i bet, i do not bet the pot 100% of the time. i shove and bet 1/2 pot and all sorts of crazy stuff depending on the spot.

Re: Betting the Pot
Mixing it up is always good. So often I win the biggest pots by c-beting with the nuts, and someone trys to pick off my 'bluff'.
Betting the pot lowers the odds you are giving to your opponent(s), but builds a larger pot. Large pots are for big hands, which you dont often get. ALso, if you are c-betting (i.e. not betting a amde hand) you need the bet to work at least half the time, as opposed to 1/3 of the time if you bet just half the pot. |

Re: Betting the Pot
Its so fun to raise AA at 100/200 to 500 and get one caller, flop comes like Q52 so you basically have the nuts and you induce then to shove their remaining 2k drawing dead with AT because you bet 500 into the pot and they thinku have nothing.
