NL100: Overpair 7's facing ugly turn card

This was one of the first hands I have played with him, he hasn't done anything out of line up to this point. This was the first time he open limped.
Comments on flop and turn play are welcome.

I think the flop reraise to $40 is a bad idea. He won't fold any slow-played overpairs, and he could have a set or 2p or draw. When he calls your reraise I don't know what he has, but his range probably has great equity vs. your holding. An even bigger problem (maybe) is that you are OOP with nearly half your stack in the pot, and there are something like 27 cards that will make your life difficult.

On the other hand, it seems like folding is out of the question, and a probably is not a good idea. Flat calling isn't that appealing either, but it seems like I would lean toward calling the flop, planning to c/f a lot of turn cards, and maybe b/f some "safe" turns.

I don't play a whole lot of HU cash so take that fwiw.

I dont mind the flop 3 bet...turn suuuucks tho. I prob check and give up on turn...everything got there if you werent beat before

haha i always tell myself "now play sensible this game", then inevitabley do something like check shove the turn and pray they can fold despite:
1) them quite possibley having the hand i am representing
2) zillion to 1 pot odds
sometimes it works, and it is such a good feeling to see people fold to a bluff when they have very little behind.

I don't think villain is folding any part of his range to a shove. He has nearly 70% of his stack in the pot. He's probably betting small to entice a call given great odds, before an even worse scare card hits the river.
