I hate these spots: KK preflop oop facing raise and reraise
- TwinFives sitting in seat 1 with $161.70
- Mewn87 sitting in seat 2 with $271.71 - Jordan_H sitting in seat 3 with $97.46 [Dealer] - NilPferD sitting in seat 4 with $115.03 - Hero sitting in seat 5 with $96.40 - smox sitting in seat 6 with $55.33 NilPferD posted the small blind - $0.50 Hero posted the big blind - $1.00 ** Dealing card to Hero: King of Clubs, King of Spades smox called - $1.00 TwinFives raised - $5.00 Mewn87 raised - $16.00 Jordan_H folded NilPferD folded Hero... Original raiser is like 20/15 and the 3-betor is LAG:ier, like 25/20. No other reads. I guess I'm not folding, and I hate all options. Calling leaves us in a lot of [censored]: 3-way pot (probably) oop without knowing a [censored]. Raising folds a lot of his worse hands and a shove from his part is almost always AA I guess. |

4bet, call shove. Now if you have like 200bbs+ it is interesting, but this is really straightforward imo.

4-betting or shoving are both fine. Slight preference for shoving. Folding is just not an option here. It becomes a bit more interesting if you're really deep, or if the original raiser is like 10/5 and being reraised by a another 10/5 or whatever - but as is, this is a very standard and great spot to try to get it in preflop.

Re: I hate these spots: KK preflop oop facing raise and reraise
I think orig raiser could have a very wide range - AK or even worse, any pair etc. Re-raiser's range is narrower but having position on orig raiser still wide including pairs say 10+ AK etc. Of those two ranges you beat everything but AA so I wouldn't even consider folding.
What about call/shove on any non-ace flop and get called by QQ? That or just shove pre-flop and still possibly get called by QQ? Can't fold KK PF for < 100BB find that other thread with all the clever signs in it. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] |

Re: I hate these spots: KK preflop oop facing raise and reraise
I prefer raising to 38 or so rather than shoving because you will get a call from AK, whereas if you overbet shove I think AK can fold

Raising to $38 in this spot looks INCREDIBLY strong - much much stronger than shoving for certain.

Re: I hate these spots: KK preflop oop facing raise and reraise
I guess it depends on your image. i would raise to 38 here with QQ+ and AK+ against everyone, and it would widen against a light 3bettor

I flat this a lot and get it in on most non-ace flops.

Cold calling a 3 bet OOP looks just as strong to any thinking player. I just shove here.
