Allen Cunningham was never overrated...more UNDERrated if anything...he's like a John Juanda...consistently cashes and has a quiet offensive style and personality.

Cunningham and Juanda probably don't get a lot of attention simply because of their quiet demeanors, but when they do get that attention, it's NOT because they're overrated at all. They really are consistently good players.

If anything, Hachem is one of the most underrated players today.

Sheik and Elezra are constantly being described as "top" players on TV. But if they always play the way they do on TV, I don't see how they could even have a shot to be winners long term in a typical $5/$10 NL game, let alone at high stakes. Both are extremely overrated in the media IMO.

Could anyone tell me why "the sheik" is on every single [censored] poker show i see on tv? why? out of all the players they could chose to invite to these things they pick him? wtf

Also I think it was on Beyond the Felt where Ng said that she'd earned a living from poker for the last 13 years.

So is she a decent player making a good income, who is overrated because she gets more attention than her play warrants due to her looks? Or she really is that bad, and the $250k and 13 years of success are maybe a little exaggerated?

[/ QUOTE ]

This may be for NVG but didn't Schoenfeld and Negreanu pay her freight for the better part of the last decade?

Regardless, $250K over 13 years is peanuts.

Trainwrecks make for good TV. There's bound to be sparks when Shieky plays.

I'm surprised we don't see more of Tony G, but I guess hes across the pond. The WPT Bad Boys was entertaining (with Hellmuth being the quiet one??)
