Re: Calling monster over-bet with draw (5/10NL)
I'll take a 52/48 and that is only because of the rake.

Re: Calling monster over-bet with draw (5/10NL)
I was involved with a similar type of hand. I held a straight flush draw but folded it on the flop. I was glad that I did because one player held a set while the other held a higher flush draw. In this situation, I was a dog. If I was in the OP shoes I would had folded.

Re: Calling monster over-bet with draw (5/10NL)
I assume we never get the priviledge of reading this post had the river been the A of diamonds? Grow a sack dude. This is such an easy call. Boo hoo that your draw didn't hit. I'll fedex you a box of tissues.

Re: Calling monster over-bet with draw (5/10NL)
I suck and I push with this hand. I know the set is calling and I'm stoked KT is calling. It just means I have to dodge a K or T, but hell... Look at the equity chart.

Re: Calling monster over-bet with draw (5/10NL)
[ QUOTE ]
The key to this is that I have really strong reads on both, and have called out their hands to the kicker consistently all night. I put 5th on KT, button on 55 (I was exactly right). [/ QUOTE ] I think 2+2 could really use a emoticon. It would be quite useful. |

Re: Calling monster over-bet with draw (5/10NL)
It's just math if you are 100% correct on your read. But if any of the parties involved (I'm thinking button) have a hand like A5d and are happy to ride you're toast.

Re: Calling monster over-bet with draw (5/10NL)
do you routinely refer to pot sized raises as monster overbets?
